MARVEL UNIVERSE X-MEN COLLECTION

There are a lot of X-Men teams out there, which means there are lots to collect. Mine is the line up of the X-Men animated series of the 90's.

Remember this:

The music means awesomeness is coming.

So officially, my collection should be of the following:

Professor X
Cyclops
Wolverine
Gambit
Beast
Storm
Rogue
Jubilee

and.... Jean Grey, which I still lack.

Everyone is carded except for Cyclops, and probably Jean Grey (fingers cross) which is very to hard to find at a reasonable and fair price.

X-MEN CLASSIC 6" CYCLOPS VS MARVEL UNIVERSE 3.75" CYCLOPS REVIEW AND COMPARISON

Hello there.

Cyclops has been one of the more unpopular X-Men characters there is. He is not as cool as say Gambit or Wolverine. He was maligned in the X-Men Movies. Caused some of the worst happenings in the Marvel Universe.

Yet, be as it may and in spite of that, Cyclops is my favorite X-Men. The boring, stiff guy is my X-Men of choice. Selfless and borderline crazy courageous.

So it is with great pleasure that I present you, Cyclops in his Jim Lee costume glory.

This one is from X-Men Classic 6" toyline by Toybiz.
There are lot's of cyclops variety in the 6" scale. Some reasonable, while others are absurd. But for me, the only one that matters is the Jim Lee costume version.

So, from the 3" inch scale also is Cyclops Jim Lee version.

The hair sucks, too much styling. Lips are awkward. Very thin frame as well.

Head sculpt is perfect for me.

Face to face, side ways. Little Scott looks menacing. While Big Scott, MEH!

One thing I don't like about Big Scott is the supposed belt like strap. Very thin. His visor though if you take a closer look has a ruby quartz effect.

Playing horse. They practically have the same articulation. Except that the head of the 6" cannot look upward. Which makes it frustrating since you need to. OPTIC BLAST!!!

Scott. Jean. Your the only one in my heart.
Let's enjoy the night, shall we?

A few notes on acquiring these figures. Both are supposed to be hard to finds. I was able to grab the 6 incher way back in 2006/ 2007, I cannot remember exactly at the local store at regular price.

While the 3 incher I got, 1000 km from my place, at a very unreasonable price at all.

CYCLOPS AND PSYLOCKE - WHAT IF?

Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock, the English but Asian looking mutant, ninja Psylocke.

Psylocke kicking ass against a ninja assassin of the Hand.

Oyyy.

Sorry Scott, your d-moves are not effective.

Adios then.

FATHER AND SON - MAGNETO AND QUICKSILVER

Pietro Maximoff and Erik Magnus.

Quicksilver and Magneto.

Son and Father.

Magneto is my favorite mutant character. Pietro, when I was young I thought was a Flash rip off.

But there is more to him than the name. He is a Mutant. Once a member of the X-Factor and Avengers. Son of the man himself, the master of magnetism.

THE EVOLUTION OF THE ORIGINAL X-MEN

The X-Men are a bunch of Mutant. Homo superiors, or men with superhuman powers. They first hit the stands in 1963, whihc cover art is found below:

It was sold for 12 cents only. Its first edition comic book can be bought at a record price of $492,937.50 according to an article found here.

Anyway this post is about the evolution of its members from 1963. For starters, here are the (founding) members of the X-Men, at the helm of Professor X.

Scott Summer or Cyclops - He is the leader of the team. Not that much evolution in terms of his powers and abilities. He was and still is the boring one.

Bobby Drake, Iceman - Still transforms into ice.

Hank Mc Coy, had a significant transformation by turning into blue brutish Beast.

In terms of physical, emotional, changes Warrent Worthington probably had the worst. From the playboy happy go lucky Angel, into a Horseman of Death by Apocaypse.

But nobody would beat the transformation of one Jean Grey. From a simple telekinetic and telepath into Phoenix, and eventually the Dark Phoenix. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

From the generic uniforms to its individual and distinct look.
